At Yelp we saw that on 2/24/11 Yelp Member Chloe T uploaded a delicious photo of the homemade bread we serve at Dattilo. Our bread never looked better! Thanks Chloe.

With that photo in view we’d like to share with you the TripAdvior.com review we got

from Tom R based in St. Louis, Mo who reviewed Dattilo on 6/25/09 with the title

“I Love This Place” – Tom writes:

“This restaurant is so unlike almost anything in the area. We go there every time we're in

Whittier on business. They always give us wonderful service [especially when the restaurant

is not terribly busy]. We've never had a bad meal. To answer some of the critics, yes, they do

charge extra for the bread -- but it's homemade right there on the spot and is the closest thing

to true Tuscan bread I've ever found in So-Cal. If the 80-cent charge is an issue, then you

shouldn't be there anyway... On a nice day you can have one of the trattoria-style tables just

off the sidewalk and dream about being in Italy.”

Had the pleasure to break bread with friends and family in celebration of a good friends daughters first communion. This Italian eatery has the charm of an old villa. The menu selections are plentiful and the service is good. They don't make pizza for lunch...so I'll visit next time for dinner. Thank you Martinez family.

If you want some great tasting pasta or seafood come here! I've never been disappointed. This restaurant is located in uptown Whittier and can get pretty crowded in the evenings. This place has great atmosphere!

I only ate here once, in June 2009, at the end of my senior year in high school for a banquet. It was a great, great night and as far as I remember, waiters were attentive with the drinks and basically got out of the way as banquet festivities carried on. I remember the food just being delicious; there were a variety of pizzas and pastas available. I tried everything and there wasn't a single thing I didn't enjoy. Salad and bread were good, too. Fantastic atmosphere...just a very charming place.

My husband and I had our wedding reception here at Dattilo's in Uptown Whittier in 2001. It is a beautiful restaurant, wonderful food, great service, and a full bar. What more could you want? I would recommend this restaurant for your party/wedding reception or just to eat a meal with family and friends. =)
